About Frenzi Group
Frenzi Group’s formation began with the opening of Pog Mahones Irish Pub in Queenstown in 1998 by a group of friends including Roy Thompson and Brian Collins.
Pogs subsequently became one of Queenstown’s most successful and enduring hospitality venues and from these beginnings Brian and Roy have developed what is now Frenzi Group Limited, a nationwide hospitality business which owns and manages twelve premium pubs and restaurants in four cities across the country. |
Our Venues
Frenzi Group’s venues are varied in style, from high-end restaurants to suburban gastro pubs, however all share a commitment to providing a premium experience, consistent with our mission to create warm, friendly and fun social environments in which our team members enjoy working and to which our customers love returning. |

Our People
We are passionate about investing in the development of our team and were the first pub group in the country to have a NZ Qualifications Authority (NZQA) training program approved by the Hospitality Standards Institute (HSI), for which we were also selected as a finalist in two categories of the HSI Excellence in Training Awards 2008. We believe in giving our people the opportunity to gain new skills and experiences and encourage mobility within the group, both geographically and functionally. We are particularly proud of the fact that many of our senior team began with us in more junior roles and have been able to develop into highly effective managers.
