Brian Collins
Originally from Ireland, Brian qualified as a lawyer in Ireland and New York, working with leading Irish and UK legal and advisory firms in Dublin and London.
During his early career he specialised in commercial law, taxation and international structuring, advising clients during the nascent days of the International Financial Services Centre in Dublin. Prior to focussing on his entrepreneurial interests through Frenzi Group, Brian spent seven years in senior roles with Deutsche Bank in Singapore and Auckland. Brian and his family have been based in Auckland since 2001. As a proud Irishman he has served for a number of years on the Board of Trustees of the Ireland Fund of New Zealand, assisting with the strengthening of cultural and educational links between Ireland and New Zealand. He is also a lifelong Liverpool FC fan, who enjoys rugby, golf, diving and good banter. |
Roy Thompson
Roy has 25 years experience in local and international financial markets and 17 years of successful entrepreneurial activity across a range of industries.
During his banking career Roy was involved in creating and leading a number of successful businesses. Early on he was a member of the team that established the National Bank Private Bank. He then joined Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management in Asia and was subsequently appointed Global Head of Product Management and Investment Services, based in London. More recently, Roy led Westpac’s national Private Wealth Management business and the Business Bank for the Auckland\Northland region. Roy has been involved in a number of businesses reflecting his interests in hospitality, aviation and technology. Roy is a founding board member of the Westpac Massey Financial Education and Research Centre, which promotes financial literacy in NZ. Previously he chaired the establishment board of the Remarkables Primary School in Queenstown and was founder and chair of The Wakatipu Youth Flying Trust. Outside of business, Roy enjoys travelling with his family, is a regular hunter and diver and occasionally gets to fly his Cessna. |
